Cisco Certified Design Professional
Advanced network design skills and knowledge
Achieving Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP) certification confirms that you are a seasoned IT professional who has the progressive end-to-end network design expertise to ensure that networks deliver to today’s performance, availability and scalability requirements, while future-proofing investments.
Ideal for senior network design engineers, principle system engineers, network/solution architects and CCDA-certified professionals looking to build upon fundamental Cisco network design expertise, the CCDP certification program focuses on advanced addressing and routing protocols, WANs, services virtualization and integration strategies for multilayered enterprise architectures.
Four training courses are recommended for CCDP candidates: Building Scalable Cisco Internetworks (BSCI), Building Cisco Multilayer Switched Networks (BCMSN), Designing for Cisco Internetwork Solutions (DESGN), and Designing Cisco Network Service Architectures (ARCH).
Cisco Press Certification Self-Study books and software are part of a recommended learning path from Cisco Systems that can include simulation and hands-on training from authorized Cisco Learning Partners and self-study products from Cisco Press.
CCDP certifications are valid for three years. Individuals who hold an active Cisco CCNP, CCDP, CCIP, CCSP, or CCVP certification will recertify their professional-level certifications when they pass any other Cisco professional-level certification exam. Certification holders will continue to re-certify their professional level certifications when they pass any CCIE written exam
